Molybdenum
Molybdenum, with the chemical symbol Mo and atomic number 42, belongs to the VIB group of metals. It is a tough, silvery-white metal with a high melting point and excellent thermal conductivity, and it does not corrode at room temperature when exposed to air. Because of its exceptional strength, resistance to corrosion and wear, high melting point, molybdenum applications are in various fields including steel production, petroleum industry, chemical sector, electrical and electronic technology, medicine, and agriculture.
